Description

Ecosoft P’URE Reverse Osmosis Water Filter with Mineralization

INSTALLATION & USE

Reverse osmosis is the most effective technology for the purification of water for drinking. It reduces 99.8% of impurities, as well as odours, flavours, and viruses making water clear, clean, tasty, and safe for human health, both for adults and children. The reverse osmosis filter is also one of the most cost-effective methods of domestic water purification.

Advantages of the Ecosoft P’URE reverse osmosis water filter

  • World leader DOW Filmtec™ membrane (USA)
  • 6 stages of water purification including mineralization
  • 280 L of drinking water per day
  • Up to 7 ltr storage tank
  • Delicious taste of water thanks to coconut shell carbon filter at 4 stages out of 6
  • 2-handle faucet — for purified and mineralized water
  • Both vertical and horizontal mounting possible
  • ‘Clean room’ effect — vacuum tightness of the filter since it leaves its assembly line

Benefits of using the filter

  • Source of absolutely clean and safe drinking water
  • Dishes cooked with the water will taste better
  • Coffee beans and tea leaves will open up their flavours and aroma
  • With the water, you will get the important mineral elements
  • Home appliances (kettle, iron, steam cooker, air humidifier etc.) will be protected from scale
  • The clean water can be used to water flowers

Stages of water purification

The feed water flows through the three pre-filters intended to reduce sediments (rust, sand, silt etc.), chlorine and chlorination by-products, as well as organic matter.

The fourth stage is represented by the reverse osmosis membrane which at the molecular level purifies the water from 99.8% impurities including bacteria and viruses. The purified water is supplied to the storage tank.

The carbon post-filter is the fifth stage of the water treatment. It contains high-quality activated coconut shell carbon which improves purified water taste and odour and adds slight sophisticated sweetish flavour.

The sixth stage of water purification is its mineralization that simultaneously corrects mineral composition of water, pH and its organoleptic properties. It makes the water tasty and enriches with important minerals.

TECHNICAL DETAILS

Inlet pressure for filter without pump, atm: 3–6*
Inlet pressure for filter with pump, atm: 2–4.5*
Pressure in storage tank, atm: 0.4–0.6**
Temperature of feed water, °C: +4…+30***
Filter weight (basic configuration), kg: 6
Temperature of environment limit, °C: +5…+40***
Water supply external connection, inches: thread, ½

* If pressure in the water supply system is lower than indicated, the filter should be supplied with a pump. If pressure in the water supply system is higher than indicated, it is necessary to install a pressure regulator at the inlet before the reverse osmosis filter.

** If pressure is lower or higher than indicated, it is necessary to pump up or release the pressure.

*** If the temperature of feed water is within the range +20…+30 °C, selectiveness of the membrane insignificantly decreases, and capacity increases leading to insignificant growth of the TDS indicator. Application of the filter when the temperature of feed water exceeds +30 °C is not recommended.

Instruction manual

The filter is supplied with 2-handle ball valve faucet ‘Modern’ that provides usual purified by the reverse osmosis technology water for cooking and hot drinks, and mineralized water for drinking.

Both vertical and horizontal mounting is possible.

Safety is guaranteed by ‘Clean room’ effect: the filter is absolutely protected from the environment, and remains vacuum tight since it leaves its assembly line until it is installed.

Application

The reverse osmosis filter is intended for treatment of cold water only.

If time needed to fill the storage tank has increased, it means that the pre-filters are exhausted, and it is necessary to urgently replace them. Delay with the replacement might damage or destroy the membrane. To avoid such critical situations, we strongly recommend to replace the set of pre-filters at least once in 3 months.

If speed of filtration is decreasing significantly, it is necessary to replace the reverse osmosis membrane. We recommend to replace the membrane at least once a year.

In case there are long breaks (exceeding 2 weeks) in filter application, it is necessary to disinfect the filter (see detailed description of the procedure in the manual). When you are not planning to use the filter during a long period of time, it is recommended to turn off water supply to the filter.

Feed water requirements*

Parameter Value**
pH 6.5–8.5
TDS, mg/L <1500
Hardness, meq/L <10.0
Active chlorine, mg/L <0.5
Iron, mg/L <0.3
Manganese, mg/L <0.1
Chemical oxygen demand, mg O2/L <5
Total microbial count (TMC), CFU per 1 mg <50
Coli index <3

* If the feed water condition does not correspond to the indicated requirements, service life of the membrane and replacement filters might decrease.

** In case of application of the filter for borehole or well water, it is recommended to make a preliminary chemical analysis of the water. If certain indicators exceed the values in the table, it is recommended to install additional filters before the reverse osmosis filter.
